For some neurodivergent people additional support or adjustments are required. In this practical workshop FAA project workers, will look at how to support neurodivergent children and young people at home and in school environment.

Autism tends to be identified at a much lower rate in females, despite recent studies suggesting a 2.1 boy/girl ratio.
Delivered by Fostering Attainment and Achievement project workers, this session will look at how to spot the signs of autism in girls, exploring the role and implications of masking for autistic girls and how to support them. Masking is a trait associated with autistic people, where they mimic neurotypical behaviours in social settings.
Food and movement have a big impact on our lives. This workshop will look at how we can help children and young people achieve and maintain an appropriate state of regulation with the right food and exercise This is an interactive session so please come along prepared to eat food, play and have some fun.
This session aims to raise awareness of foetal alcohol spectrum disorder, discuss the prevalence in Northern Ireland and give advice on how to help support children with foetal alcohol spectrum disorder. It will also advise carers on the signs of foetal alcohol spectrum disorder and the support available.
