The Fostering Network is awarded Fosterline contract

News

The Fostering Network, the UK’s leading fostering charity, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the contract to deliver The Fosterline Service, commissioned by the Department for Education.

Fosterline England is a free and confidential service, offering advice and information to people considering becoming a foster carer, and providing support to existing foster carers. The service will support the Government’s Stable Homes Built on Love strategy, announced earlier this year, and is a core component of their commitment to supporting foster carer recruitment and retention.

Jacqueline Cassidy, director for practice at The Fostering Network, states: ‘We are delighted to be awarded this contract, and to be able to support part of the Government’s new strategy through the provision of this vital service.

‘I would like to recognise and thank FosterTalk for their creative and committed expansion of Fosterline over the past 10 years, and the fantastic support they have given to thousands of foster carers through the advice and information service.’

Daniel Croft, Vice Chair of the Martin James Foundation states: ‘FosterTalk and The Martin James Foundation are proud of the impact the service has had for the last 10 years. We look forward to seeing its continued development, ensuring foster carers receive essential advice and support  needed when caring for vulnerable children. We wish The Fostering Network all the very best in their endeavours.’

The Fostering Network and FosterTalk will work closely together to ensure a coordinated, seamless transition and continuity of service.

The Fostering Network will operate Fosterline services from 1 October 2023, using the same website address and contact details that are in place currently: fosterline.info and 0800 040 7675.
