Executive function is a set of mental skills that help us set goals, plan and finish tasks. However, some looked after children and young people struggle with theirs.

This workshop will explore what executive function skills are, how they affect everyday life and why looked after children and young people might have poor executive function skills.

The session will share practical ideas to help children and young people develop their executive function skills, It will be a ‘hands on’ workshop, providing games and resources that can help.

This workshop will be delivered by Fostering Attainment and Achievement project workers and is for foster carers in Northern Ireland.
