Knowing the signs of dyslexia in children and young people means they will get support more quickly. In this session, attendees will experience what it’s like to be dyslexic and what the symptoms are.
Delivered by Fostering Attainment and Achievement project workers, attendees will learn the stages of the dyslexia assessment process and the role of the school and parents/carers in supporting a child with dyslexia. There will be an opportunity to try some of the resources available to support a student with dyslexia through the different stages of education.
By the end of the workshop attendees will have a better understanding of dyslexia and what can be incorporated to enhance the learning of a dyslexic student.
