Webinar details:

It is long standing practice and an expectation that savings are made for children who are cared for. Governments have given tacit consent for this practice by introducing Child Trust Funds and later Junior ISA’s.

Concerns have been expressed across the sector over many years about the variations in sectoral practice in relation to savings.

It has been noted that some children are not having any savings made for them, savings have been ‘going missing ‘or being ‘mismanaged’ and also that there is inequity in the amount of savings children in similar circumstances accrue.

We initially ran this webinar in October 2023 and have presentations from The Share Foundation, Become and fostering services. The lineup is similar to last time with some slight changes and updates on information shared in its first iteration.
