Since the first awards took place in 2014, the Fostering Excellence Awards have continued to grow year on year and this year was the biggest and best yet!
The ceremony was well attended by guests from inside and outside of the fostering sector, and together we celebrated the outstanding achievements and exceptional contributions of some amazing children and young people, foster carers, social workers and fostering supporters.
You can watch a film about one of our Outstanding Achievement winners, Louise below. You can also read about the President's Awards winners here.
Speaking about the Awards, The Fostering Network's chief executive, Kevin Williams, said:
'The Fostering Network's vision is of a society where the importance of fostering is understood, recognised and supported. All of our work is focused on achieving this vision, and the Fostering Excellence Awards play a vital role in this. We are delighted to be able to shine a spotlight on some of the incredible foster carers, sons and daughters, care experienced young people and social workers in the fostering community and wish all of this year's winners congratulations.'
As well as recognising all of the award winners and their achievements, the Fostering Excellence Awards also help to raise awareness about all those in the fostering community who work tremendously hard to make a difference to children’s and young people’s lives every day.
Thank you to all those who made the awards possible including Jon Broad, Haven, The Exilarch's Foundation, The Mortgage Brain, Williams Giles and Partridges. We are truly grateful to them for their invaluable support and contributions to the event.
