Facing an allegation is something that some foster carers will, unfortunately, experience during their fostering career. This is inevitably a distressing time for everyone involved. This training course will provide you with information of the processes of allegations, standards of care and complaints, and provide you with tools to minimise incidents of an allegations and good practice. 


Aims and objectives:

  • Clarify the differences between allegations, concerns about standards of care, and complaints
  • Understand the main procedures used in investigating allegations and standards of care concerns
  • Discuss ways of minimising the incidence of allegations
