Foster carers enjoy free Roald Dahl exhibition

News

Fostering families in Wales have been enjoying a new interactive exhibition about Roald Dahl’s life at the Wales Millennium Centre (WMC) in Cardiff for free.

In a bid to encourage more looked after children to explore the arts the WMC gave The Fostering Network in Wales some free tickets for foster carers to take part in workshops and visit the exhibition: The Wondercrump World of Roald Dahl.

Sarah Roberts from WMC said: ‘The Wondercrump World of Roald Dahl’ is an interactive exhibition oozing with facts, hands on and visual experiences and archive material from the life and works of Roald Dahl. As with Dahl’s stories, it appeals to young people and the young at heart and celebrates Dahl’s sense of mischief and his incredible imagination.

‘We hope to inspire a new generation of readers, writers, explorers and collectors who’ve had their imaginations sparked by the fantastic storytelling and life of Roald Dahl.’

The exhibition will run until 14 January to include the 100th anniversary of Roald Dahl's birth on 13 September. Tickets can be purchased here.
