As a qualified social worker, I have worked in a range of social work settings including children’s homes, adoption and mental health services. For over two decades I have dedicated my career to working within the foster care setting. I have acquired direct skills, knowledge and experience by completing Form F assessments, supervising and supporting foster carers in both a senior supervising role and as a deputy manager within an independent fostering service. I also have experience of acting as the agency fostering panel member by making recommendations regarding applicants’ suitability to foster. Also consider whether foster carers approval should be continued or terminated.

I understand the importance of ensuring all foster carers are fully monitored and supported to achieve the best outcomes for vulnerable children. Effective  foster carers are an asset to any fostering provider and deserve to have a first class supervisory, learning and development and support package around them, so they can fulfil their role, keep children safe and give them an ordinary and healthy family experience.

My working days are Tue / Wed / Thur (09:00 – 17:00) with flexibility, when required, to attend panels and important meetings outside of these days.

Foster carer and fostering providers can contact me directly by email or phone.
